Other than that, there's not that much to say about it. Cosmology of Kyoto was developed in 1994 by Softedge and published by Yano Electric. That said, death is an integral part of the game, you can't avoid it at times, and traveling through the different levels of hell is also part of it. You wander around the city, meeting NPCs, some that are based on historical persons, some fictional, and also encountering demons. To give you a short introduction myself, Cosmology of Kyoto is not as much a game as it is.well, an experience, I guess? It's set around the year 1000 in, you guess it, Kyoto. So, somebody on the Steam forums mentioned Cosmology of Kyoto, and his little description had me intrigued, so I set out to look for this game online, whether it's available or not. ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know how many of you already know of this game, as it's pretty old (from 1993), but I only learned recently about it when I looked whether Sword of the Samurai ever had a sequel or, at least, a spiritual successor. I decided to create this thread after playing a game called Cosmology of Kyoto. ![]()
